What does Local Foodz offer?

Local Foodz is a meal prep and delivery service based in Oakland, California. We specialize in crafting and delivering wholesome, nutritious, and balanced meals directly to our valued customers.

What can I expect on the menu?

Our menu is thoughtfully curated to offer a diverse selection of dishes that prioritize health and cater to various dietary preferences and restrictions. We believe that food should be tailored to your unique needs. That's why our customized meals menu allows you to adjust attributes and portion sizes to perfectly suit your requirements.

In addition to our customizable options, we offer a range of signature meals. These dishes are inspired by popular everyday favorites, but we put a healthy spin on them to ensure they align with our commitment to your well-being. We also provide a diverse selection of snacks and side items that can be conveniently ordered by the pound.


How can I order meals from Local Foodz?

You have the flexibility to order meals individually from our a la carte menu or opt for a convenient meal plan.

Our prebuilt meal plans offer curated selections designed to fit your needs. 5 and 7 day meal plans are automatically divided into 2 deliveries.

This tool allows you to add, edit, and create meal plans that suit your need from our entire a la carte menu. 

Rotating Meal Plans

With our rotating meal plans, you can enjoy a fresh set of meals each week, providing you with a wide range of delicious options. Please note: rotating meal plans are automatically suibscription only (repeats weekly)

What kinds of ingredients do we use?

Every meal is meticulously prepared from scratch, using only the finest, top-tier ingredients. Our emphasis is on sourcing local, organic produce and meats for most of our ingredients. Our dairy and red meat are organic pasture-raised, ensuring the highest quality. We are conscientious about sugar content, using it sparingly, and exclusively employ olive oil for cooking.

A full nutrition label is provided with each meal to provide you with all the details and full transparency of ingredients used.

What days do we offer deliveries & pickups?

For Pick-ups: The website will automatically show you the available pickup dates for the location you select

For deliveries: The website will automatically show you the available delivery dates based on your addrress

How do I skip a delivery date?

Click on the person icon on the top right of the screen to take you to your dashboard.

On the dashboard, click on your "My subscriptions" link to view and manage subscriptions.

Click on the 1st date and select the desired date of delivery. Hit apply changes.

Once saved, your subscription will automatically skip other dates and renew on 2 days before your next scheduled delivery date.

For example: Today is 7/6/22 and your subscription is set to renew on 7/8/22(charge date) for delivery on 7/10/22(Delivery Date) but you want to skip delivery on 7/10/22 and resume delivery next week on 7/17/22.You will need to follow the steps above, select 7/17/22 and click apply changes.  

Please note, this will not make any changes or orders that have already been charged. If you want to make changes to orders that have already been charged or have other specific changes, please click here to contact us.

What happens if a product in my subscription is no longer available?

If a product in your subscription plan is no longer available or has been replaced by something else, we will notify you of the updates via email before the order is placed. If you do not respond, your order will be automatically updated with the replacement. 

Can I purchase gift cards?

Yes, you can choose to send an e-gift card or have a physical gift card mailed to your loved ones. 

How do I redeem a gift card?

Please add desired items to cart and sign in or create a new account to proceed to checkout.

Enter the gift card/email code in the coupon section at checkout.

Once the code is entered, the system will add “Store credit” to your account that can be used towards the purchase.

In the store credit section select “Yes” to apply store credit to your order and then checkout.

Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.

Can I refer my friends and family to LoCal Foodz?

Yes, absolutely! We encourage our clients to share with their friends and family. We offer a referral incentive program available on  your user dashboard. 

How does the referral program work?

Log in to your account.

Click on the person icon in the upper right-hand side of the website to access your user dashboard.

Your unique referral link is found on the user dashboard.

You can share your link directly by copying it from the dashboard, or by sharing it on Facebook, Twitter, or via email.

Referred clients should access the website via the link you shared with them.

Once your referred client has created a new account, the system will automatically add “Store credit” to their account that can be used towards their purchase. The referred client can now add items to their cart and proceed to checkout.

At checkout, the user should select the “Yes” button in the store credit section to apply their $25 store credit to the order and then place their order.

A referral commission of $25 will be added to your account once your referral places their order.


What is your rewards program?

The Local Foodz program rewards you for every purchase you make.

It’s simple: You earn 1 point for every dollar you spend. We’ll add store credit to your account to redeem in the website or app.

Every 500 points earned = $12.5 store credit (2.5%)

Funds never expire and cannot be used in combination with any other offers, promotions, and discount coupons.

The minimum spend amount to use store credit is $25.00

Rewards cannot be earned while using other discount coupons

Where does LoCal Foodz deliver?

Currently, we offer deliveries throughout California & Nevada. During checkout, you will see available delivery options & dates for your address. Enter your zip code in our "where we deliver" ( page to get exact rates, available date etc.

Where are LoCal Foodz Pick Up centers?

Currently, we offer pick-ups at 4 locations. You are able to select pickup at one of the locations below during checkout. Meals get delivered to the store selected typically by 4pm on the date you choose during checkout.

How do I order?

Where is your kitchen located?

Our kitchen is located at 1552 Beach Street Suite C, Oakland, CA  94608

*Please note that we are closed to the public. We do not offer store pickups at our kitchen or pre-made meals for sale. Please place your order online.

Can I pick up my meals from your kitchen facility?

At this time, we do not offer pickups at our kitchen. 

When do I order?

For most areas, order by 6:00 P.M. for next day* delivery/pickup

*If you are outside of our local delivery area, the website will automatically schedule you to order 2 days in advance

How do I get my meals?

There are 2 Ways!

  1. Have them delivered straight to your home or office
  2. Pick-up from a partnering store available during checkout

Where do you deliver, and how much does it cost?


Currently, we deliver locally within most of the bay area and ship overnight anywhere outside of our local delivery areas.

During checkout, you will see available delivery options based on your address.

What is the cost for pick-ups and deliveries?

The website automatically calculates delivery charges based on your address.

I won't be home all day. I don't want the food to go bad by the time I get home. What can I do?

If you won't be home to put your meals in the refrigerator once it's delivered for an extended period of time, we recommend leaving out an ice box with ice packs so that the driver can leave the bag in the cold box. This will ensure that your meals are sitting in the temperature safe zone so they are good to consume once you are back home.

Please also add a delivery note about your ice box setup when placing your order so that we can communicate that with the delivery team.

We do not take responsibility of meals once they're delivered to you.

Is there a minimum to order?

There is no minimum for pickup or delivery.

Where can I get my meals when I place an order?

Have your meals delivered straight to your home/office or pick them up from a partnering pickup center available during checkout.

How much do the meals cost?

On average, meals cost between $8 - $20 but can vary depending on portion size & menu selections. 

What is the shelf life of the meals?

State and local authorities say perishable food at kept at the correct termperature is good to eat for 7 days after it has been cooked/prepped.

However, to be safe, all meals are labeled with a 4-day expiration date* from the time they were cooked. *3 days for seafood.

Our meals do not contain preservatives to extend shelf life & are better enjoyed fresh rather than frozen.

I’m ordering a lot of meals. Do I have to receive all of my meals at once?

For À la carte and Build your own meal plan: Please check out separately for each day you want to receive your meals. 

For Pre-built Meal Plans: If you select a 5 or 7 day Plan, a second delivery date is automatically added at checkout so that you receive the freshest meals possible.


How do I store my meals?

Most meals can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days after you receive them. However, we recommend that you consume the seafood meals withing 3 days.  We do not recommend freezing your meals.

What if I have Food Allergies?

Please contact us before placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Are the containers and packaging recyclable?

Yes! All of LoCal Foodz containers are recyclable. Please recycle responsibly

  • We’re using compostable containers with recyclable lids. Lids are no. 5 recyclable (100% recyclable)


  • The bottom tray material is sugarcane bagasse with bamboo pulp plus a little water and oil proofing agent without any plastic, 100% biodegradable within 60-90days in natural conditions.


  • For Local Deliveries - You can return empty thermal bags and coolant packs on a future delivery, our drives will pick them up!


  • For overnight shipment clients -  The shipment box itself is recyclable.  The gel can be buried next to plants for time-release watering. The wrapper of the gel ice-packs are recyclable. The shipment box liners are recyclable as well.

Can LoCal Foodz create a specific Meal Plan for me?

If you provide us with a specific diet or nutrition goal, we can recommend a set of meals from our menu and help you order. However, please consult your dietician or medical professional for expert guidance.

What are your customer service hours?

Customer service hours are from 9AM-5PM Sunday thru Thursday.

Return or Cancellation Policy

Refund or return policy

Orders that have already been made are subject to no refund.

All exchange, refund or credit requests will be subject to the sole discretion of Local Foodz Cali Inc.

Processing time: Any refunds issued may take 7-10 business days to process.

For defective products:

If you receive food that is incorrectly made, damaged by carrier, or defective in another way:

Please contact us within 24 hours with a photo for refund to store credit. We do not accept returns.

Changing orders already placed prior to delivery or pick up:

If you would like to make changes to an order that has already been placed, please contact us 24 hours ahead of the first scheduled delivery or pick-up time.

Processing Fee: All approved order cancellations and refunds will be subject to a processing fee.

Order cancellations less than 24 hours of the scheduled delivery or pick-up time will not be issued any refund. 

For Customer Remorse:

 If you purchased the wrong product, it doesn't fit, or you no longer want the item. Please contact us at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery or pick up day. We can make changes to the order up to 24 hours ahead of the scheduled pick up or delivery date.

Order cancellations less than 48 hours of the scheduled delivery or pick-up time will not be issued any refunds. 


How do I subscribe for meals?

Any combination of meals can be made a subscription at checkout. To subscribe to an order, click on the "subscribe bubble" located on the checkout page.

How do I pause or cancel my subscriptions?

Click on the person icon on the top right of the screen to take you to your dashboard.

On the dashboard, click on your "My subscriptions" link to view and manage subscriptions.

To pause/cancel your plan, simply click on pause plan.

If you pause/cancel AFTER you have already been charged for the upcoming week, your subscription will be paused after that scheduled delivery.

Please note: this feature is only available on the web version of the website. Mobile App users should log in to their account via a browser or reach out to our customer success team if you need to pause your subscription. 


Does my subscription automatically rotate meals?

No, currently we don't have a system in place that automatically updates subscription (this feature is under construction). 

For now, If you would like to update the meals you ordered -  click on the person icon on the top right of your browser, then click on "Subcription orders", make changes and then click on apply changes to confirm. Changes to subscription edits will take effect on the "next delivery/pick-up" date. 

If you'd like to make changes to the an order that has already charged, please click here to contact us. We will try to accomodate your request as best we can. However, If it's too late and the meal are already made/sent out, we won't be able to make changes. 

Why is my food going bad faster than expected?

Have you checked the temperature of your refrigerator? In order to keep food out of the Danger Zone, your fridge must be set between 32-40° F (0-4 degrees Celsius).

1. General
We have the right at any time to change or discontinue any aspect or feature of this site, including, without limitation, our menu, pricing, content, and hours of availability.

2. Methods of Payment
By selecting PAYPAL/STRIPE as a method of payment and submitting your order, you understand that you are committed to fulfilling that order by providing us with full required payment on your pickup or delivery date. If you do not provide us with required payment on time or you input an invalid or fake order, you will be liable for any or all incidental or consequential damages that arise.

By selecting PAYPAL/STRIPE as a method of payment, you understand that you are authorized to use the credit card presented as a method of payment. Before the purchase of any goods or services on our site, you must provide us with a valid credit card number and associated payment information which includes the following: (a) your name as it appears on the card, (b) credit card number, (c) credit card type, (d) expiration date, and (e) any activation numbers or security codes required for processing. If we did not receive payment from your credit card issuer or its agent, you agree to pay all amounts due upon demand to us. The final charges on your credit card may be different than those stated on the website.

3. Pricing
The information pertaining to price, product specifications and availability included on this site has been provided by us. Although we try to ensure that the prices marketed on this site are the same, prices and product availability may change, especially if you select a delivery or pickup date that is different from the date when you placed your order.

In addition, though every attempt is made to ensure price accuracy, discrepancies can occur. In the event that your checkout price and the current advertised price on this site are different, you could be subject to the current price in our store. We will notify you under these circumstances. Please note that while we intended to confirm the accuracy of information posted on this site, mistakes can be made as a result of inaccurate reporting of accurate information or accurately reporting inaccurate information. We do not make any representations as to the timeliness, accuracy, reliability or completeness of any of the information contained on this site or on those sites to which we offer links. Of course, if you become aware that our site contains inaccurate information, please contact us and let us know.

Online ordering and customer registration for online ordering are directed toward and designed for use by persons aged 13 or older. We do not establish or maintain registrations for any child whom we know to be under the age of 13. We do not solicit or knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. You will be required to show a government issued photo ID upon arrival in order to provide proof of age.

We are not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any opinion or statement made on this site by anyone unless it is by our authorized employee spokesperson(s).

We own the right at any time to modify the terms and conditions of this site, or any part thereof, or to implementing new conditions, including, without limitation, additional fees and charges for service. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to local foodz cali inc include and local foodz. The local foodz website is a Healthy Meal Delivery Service site. By using the local foodz website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.  


Collection of your Personal Information

In order to better provide you with products and services offered on our Site, local foodz may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

If you purchase local foodz's products and services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction.
